Joseph Ching Velasco 蔡群福

I'm Joe, an academic based in Manila working on the broad areas of development studies, international relations, and public policy.

Currently, I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and Development Studies and Managing Editor and former EIC of the Asia-Pacific Social Science Review based at De La Salle University.

My recent work explores the critical junctures of culture, politics, and foreign affairs with particular attention to the geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific, ethnic Chinese communities in Southeast Asia and the Philippines, and local cultural politics.
